The 2D Ver. of the Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype fan game is finally coming for free download at the end of this month!

I don’t want to toot my own horn too much, but I translated this game and it was a lot of fun to do! It’s my first real translation job since I used to freelance for the English side of DLSite translating product descriptions for doujin goods (which were mostly weird sex games). Though, I call it a job, but it was totally volunteer work ehehehe.

Won’t lie that I’m kind of nervous how it came out. I didn’t really have a chance to check/edit the text, which I translated directly from the script; sometimes without any context for what was being said. They did send me an earlier build with the English text implanted, which had some format issues. Honestly, though, the game was so hard for me to play on keyboard that I couldn’t check much of it. ^^;;

I imagine other folks from GMOTM did a quality check, since this was months ago that I finished. I expect some errors probably cropped up, because I’m a sloppy translator. But it was fun coming up ways to write the characters in English, giving them little phrases and such. And I thought my name for the Takobone restaurant was a pretty good replacement (I think they even did a graphic for it).
